The company engineers chipsets for mobile communication devices, tablets, and advanced automotive systems, alongside wireless technologies such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Offerings extend to artificial intelligence of things (AIoT) device System-on-Chips (SoCs), global positioning satellite (GPS) chips, smart home connectivity solutions, and optical storage chipsets for devices like DVD and Blu-ray players. MediaTek also designs digital television controller chips, alongside diverse power management and USB Power Delivery (PD) Type-C controller chips essential for a wide range of electronics. Its extensive wireless communication chipsets are vital components in smartphones, tablets, Chromebooks, and feature phones. NFC (Near Field Communication) and wireless charging solutions are integrated into a broad spectrum of products, including mobile phones, smart wearables, IoT devices, routers, televisions, set-top boxes, gaming consoles, notebooks, and portable navigation systems. The firm also provides digital TV decoder and demodulator chips, which enable the reception and decoding of digital TV signals from satellite, terrestrial, or cable sources, as well as facilitating video-on-demand services via Ethernet and Wi-Fi. Additionally, Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) are supplied for both consumer and enterprise electronic applications. Networking solutions include xDSL chipsets for DSL and fiber-optic modems, wired DSL routers, and integrated access device (IAD) gateways. For the automotive sector, MediaTek develops specialized SoCs for eCockpit platforms, telematics, and mmWave radar systems. Beyond hardware, MediaTek delivers a wide range of services, encompassing software and hardware design, development, testing, maintenance, repair, and technological consultation. The company is also involved in the import and export of its products, the sale and licensing of patents and circuit layout rights, and various investment activities. Further services include research, marketing, technology provision, and intellectual property rights management.
