Beyond its core food and beverage activities, Uni-President also manufactures packaging materials, including tinplate and aluminum cans, PET bottles, other containers, and glass products. The company additionally offers information services, produces cosmetics, elevators, and cleaning apparatus, and is engaged in the research, manufacturing, and commercialization of pharmaceutical products. The corporation's diverse ventures extend further to include building construction, wholesale and retail food distribution, advertising, and the management of a professional baseball team. It is active in the entertainment industry, operates shopping malls and department stores, conducts international trade, and is involved in the development, construction, and operation of MRT stations. Other segments include car rental services, tourism agencies, and the production of chemical materials and instruments. Furthermore, Uni-President undertakes real estate sales and leasing, provides enterprise management consulting, handles magazine deliveries, and is engaged in personal and property insurance. Its activities also encompass arts and culture, the operation of gymnasiums and spas, managing fast-food and coffee chain restaurants, and electronic ticketing and related digital businesses. The company also participates in the wholesale of medical supplies and equipment, and conducts professional investment activities. To complete its wide-ranging portfolio, Uni-President operates gas stations, retail networks, distribution centers, and bookstores, and serves as a collection agent for governmental bodies. Uni-President Enterprises Corp. was established in 1967 and maintains its headquarters in Tainan City, Taiwan.
