CEZ, a. s. functions as a significant energy conglomerate, primarily engaged in the production, conveyance, commercialization, and retail supply of both electricity and heat across Western, Central, and Southeastern European regions. The company's multifaceted operations are categorized into four distinct segments: Generation, Distribution, Sales, and Mining. Within the Czech Republic, CEZ's extensive portfolio encompasses two nuclear facilities, sixteen hydroelectric stations, a single combined cycle gas turbine plant, and eight fossil fuel power stations, in addition to a variety of other plants utilizing fossil fuels, hydro, wind, solar, gas, biogas, and biomass. Its international assets include eleven wind power facilities in Germany, and two fossil fuel and two hydroelectric plants located in Poland. Beyond its primary energy activities, the company also participates in the trading and sale of natural gas, coal extraction, the quarrying and processing of construction aggregates and limestones, commodity trading, and the provision of diverse energy services. Furthermore, CEZ holds an investment in the lithium ore mining endeavor at Cínovec. Established in 1992, CEZ, a. s. is based in Prague, Czech Republic.
