The Reuters News segment distributes business, financial, and international news to media organizations, industry professionals, and the general public via its news agency and organized events. Finally, the Global Print segment supplies legal and tax resources predominantly in physical print format to legal and tax experts, governmental agencies, law schools, and corporations. Established in 1851, the firm was formerly known as The Thomson Corporation before changing its name to Thomson Reuters Corporation in April 2008. It is headquartered in Toronto, Canada, and operates as a subsidiary of The Woodbridge Company Limited.
