Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, Polaris Renewable Energy Inc. specializes in the acquisition, development, and operation of renewable energy projects primarily across Latin America. Its operational assets include a 72 MW net geothermal power plant in Nicaragua, as well as three run-of-river hydroelectric facilities in Peru with capacities of 5 MW net, 8 MW net, and 20 MW net. Additionally, the company manages a 32.6 MWdc solar installation in the Dominican Republic. The company was founded in 1984 and adopted its current name, Polaris Renewable Energy Inc., in July 2022, previously being known as Polaris Infrastructure Inc.
