Northrop Grumman Corporation is a leading global aerospace and defense firm. Its Aeronautics Systems division handles the entire lifecycle—from design and manufacturing to integration and ongoing support—of various aircraft platforms. This encompasses advanced unmanned autonomous systems, like high-altitude strategic intelligence-gathering drones and tactical vertical take-off reconnaissance aircraft, as well as strategic long-range bombers, tactical fighter jets, air dominance aircraft, and airborne battle management and control platforms. The Defense Systems segment focuses on developing and producing a wide array of armaments and mission-critical systems. Their offerings include integrated battle management solutions, diverse weapons systems such as munitions and missiles, precision strike capabilities, and advanced propulsion technologies including air-breathing and hypersonic systems, along with precise gun systems. This segment also provides extensive life-cycle services, logistics, sustainment, operation, and modernization for air, sea, and ground-based military assets. Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems segment delivers cutting-edge solutions in cyber operations, C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance). Key products include sophisticated radar, electro-optical/infrared, and acoustic sensors; electronic warfare systems; advanced communications and networking; cyber defense; intelligence processing; navigation; and maritime power and propulsion. Finally, the Space Systems segment develops and provides satellites and their payloads, ground control infrastructure, missile defense systems and interceptors, launch vehicles with their associated propulsion systems, and strategic missile technologies. The company was established in 1939 and is based in Falls Church, Virginia.
