Profile

Hormel Foods Corporation is a leading entity specializing in the creation, production, and distribution of a diverse range of meat, nut, and other food products. The company serves a broad clientele, including retailers, food service establishments, delis, and commercial customers, both within the United States and globally. Its operations are structured into four key divisions: Grocery Products, Refrigerated Foods, Jennie-O Turkey Store, and International & Other. Hormel's extensive product portfolio encompasses perishable goods such as fresh and frozen meats, ready-to-eat meals, various sausages, hams, guacamole, and bacon. Alongside these, it offers a wide array of shelf-stable items like canned luncheon meats, nut butters, snack nuts, chilis, microwaveable meals, hashes, stews, tortillas, salsas, and tortilla chips. Beyond its primary food lines, the company is also involved in the processing, marketing, and sale of both branded and unbranded pork, beef, poultry, and turkey products. Additionally, it provides nutritional food products and supplements, desserts, drink mixes, and industrial gelatins. These offerings are marketed under numerous prominent brand names, including SKIPPY, SPAM, Hormel, Natural Choice, Applegate, Justin's, Jennie-O, Café H, Herdez, Black Label, Sadler's, Columbus, Gatherings, Wholly, Planters, NUT-rition, Planters Cheez Balls, and Corn Nuts, among others. Distribution is managed through a combination of in-house sales teams, independent brokers, and a network of distributors. Established in 1891 as Geo. A. Hormel & Company, it adopted its current name, Hormel Foods Corporation, in January 1995 and maintains its headquarters in Austin, Minnesota.
