Beyond its product offerings, The Buckle extends a range of customer-centric amenities, such as tailoring services (hemming), gift presentation, deferred payment options (layaways), a loyalty rewards program, a proprietary credit card, and personalized styling consultations. Additionally, an inter-store ordering network enables individual locations to procure desired items from other company branches or its central online distribution facility. As of March 11, 2022, The Buckle maintained a physical presence with 440 retail outlets spread across 42 U.S. states, operating under both the "Buckle" and "The Buckle" banners. Its merchandise is also available for purchase through its digital storefront, buckle.com. Established in 1948, the corporation was initially named Mills Clothing, Inc., later adopting its current identity as The Buckle, Inc. in April 1991. Its corporate headquarters are situated in Kearney, Nebraska.
