These include treatments for pancreatic exocrine insufficiency, irritable bowel syndrome, intrahepatic cholestasis, depressive symptoms, gynecological disorders, and hormone replacement therapy. It also provides solutions for dyslipidemia, hypertension, hypothyroidism, Ménière's disease and vestibular vertigo, as well as pain, fever, inflammation, and migraines. Key offerings further extend to the anti-infective clarithromycin, an influenza vaccine, and products designed to regulate the physiological rhythm of the colon. The Diagnostic Products segment delivers a comprehensive range of diagnostic tools and systems. This includes laboratory systems for immunoassay, clinical chemistry, hematology, and transfusion medicine. It also features molecular diagnostics systems that automate the extraction, purification, and preparation of DNA and RNA from patient samples, alongside detecting and measuring infectious agents. Further offerings encompass point-of-care systems, blood test cartridges, rapid lateral flow testing products, and molecular point-of-care testing for various conditions like HIV, SARS-CoV-2, influenza A and B, RSV, and strep A. The segment also supplies cardiometabolic test systems, drug and alcohol testing solutions, remote patient monitoring, consumer self-test systems, and advanced informatics and automation solutions for laboratory applications. The Nutritional Products division specializes in providing a variety of nutritional items for both children and adults. Finally, the Medical Devices segment develops and markets advanced medical technologies, primarily focusing on cardiovascular health with devices for rhythm management, electrophysiology, heart failure, vascular interventions, and structural heart conditions. This segment also offers diabetes care products and neuromodulation devices used in the management of chronic pain and movement disorders. Abbott Laboratories was established in 1888 and is headquartered in North Chicago, Illinois.
