Operating globally through its subsidiaries, The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company specializes in the conception, production, distribution, and sale of tires, complemented by a range of associated products and services. The company supplies an extensive portfolio of tires for diverse vehicles, including passenger automobiles, commercial trucks, buses, aircraft, motorcycles, and heavy equipment used in earthmoving, mining, and industrial sectors. These are marketed under numerous proprietary brands such as Goodyear, Cooper, Dunlop, Kelly, Debica, Sava, Fulda, Mastercraft, and Roadmaster, as well as through private-label agreements. Beyond new tire sales, Goodyear's operations extend to retreading services for truck, aviation, and off-the-road tires. It also manufactures and sells tread rubber and other materials crucial for tire retreading, distributes chemical and natural rubber products, and provides automotive and commercial truck maintenance and repair solutions, among other varied offerings. With approximately 1,000 retail outlets, the company directly sells its products and provides services. Its global reach is supported by a comprehensive distribution network comprising independent dealers, regional distributors, its own retail stores, and other retail partners. Founded in 1898, The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company's corporate headquarters are located in Akron, Ohio.
