First Interstate serves a diverse clientele, encompassing individuals, businesses, and municipal bodies, across a wide spectrum of industries such as agriculture, construction, education, energy, government, healthcare, hospitality, housing, mining, professional services, real estate development, retail, technology, tourism, and wholesale trade. By the close of 2021 (December 31st), it maintained 147 banking locations, including standalone drive-through branches, situated within communities throughout Idaho, Montana, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, and Wyoming. Established in 1971, the corporation's primary base of operations is in Billings, Montana.
