Profile

Sacyr, S.A. is a globally operating enterprise primarily engaged in construction and the management of infrastructure concessions. Its business activities are structured into three main divisions: Concessions, Engineering and Infrastructure, and Services. The company's construction expertise spans a wide range of civil engineering projects and building works. It also specializes in the engineering, construction, and ongoing maintenance of facilities for industrial clients and the oil and gas sector. Under its concession model, Sacyr oversees crucial public infrastructure assets, including motorways, transportation hubs, airports, and hospitals. In the energy domain, the company is active in developing both traditional and renewable power generation facilities, such as photovoltaic, geothermal, and biomass plants. It also provides maintenance for power plants and industrial installations, in addition to designing, building, and operating waste treatment and waste-to-energy plants, alongside managing their associated processing equipment. Sacyr undertakes major projects within the energy and chemical industries, encompassing refineries, chemical and petrochemical facilities, gas handling and treatment systems, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure. Their capabilities extend to the transportation and storage of fuels, as well as the engineering, construction, and maintenance of high and medium-voltage electricity transmission lines and substations. A diverse portfolio of services is offered, including environmental remediation and regeneration, comprehensive water cycle management (from purification and desalination to recycling), and integrated facility management, cleaning, and support services. The company also provides specialized mining services. Furthermore, Sacyr contributes to urban infrastructure with public services such as street cleaning, waste collection, sludge treatment, landscaping, parking meter management, vehicle towing, bicycle rental programs, and the removal of vehicles from public thoroughfares. Beyond these core areas, Sacyr is involved in real estate development, catering operations, and the management of restaurants, hotels, petrol stations, and retail outlets. Formerly known as Sacyr Vallehermoso S.A., the company rebranded as Sacyr, S.A. in August 2013 and is headquartered in Madrid, Spain.
