Smiths Detection is dedicated to supplying sophisticated sensors and systems capable of identifying and revealing explosives, narcotics, weapons, chemical agents, biohazards, and contraband. The Flex-Tek division manufactures precision-engineered components designed to heat and transport fluids and gases for applications in the aerospace, medical, industrial, and construction markets. Lastly, Smiths Interconnect offers a variety of highly specialized electronic and radio frequency devices, encompassing board-level and waveguide components, connectors, cables, test sockets, and integrated sub-systems, serving the security and defense, medical, general industrial, and space and aerospace markets. Established in 1851, the company was originally named Smiths Industries before rebranding as Smiths Group plc in 2000, and it is headquartered in London, United Kingdom.
