Its operations extend to intellectual property licensing, market research, and management consulting, serving both domestic and international markets. The company manufactures a comprehensive range of industrial and chemical products. These include tire cords, airbags, polyester spunbond, technical yarns, aramid products, and various films such as polyester, nylon, and coated films. It also produces DFR materials, overcoats, beads, hydrocarbon, phenolic, and epoxy resins, along with PU/TPU products and glass-reinforced plastic pipes. Additionally, Kolon supplies nylon and polyester fibers, as well as woven, knit, and high-performance functional fabrics. Beyond manufacturing, Kolon is active in commodity trading, dealing in steel, natural resources, and chemicals. Its construction division undertakes residential, industrial plant, civil engineering, and environmental projects. The company also specializes in automotive components, fabricating car seat modules, fabrics, and car mats. Furthermore, it develops specialty fibers like artificial turfs, polypropylene staple fibers, Bicomponent staple fiber, GEONIC, Cuprus, HeaTex, and polyester filaments. Kolon maintains a significant presence in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. It offers over-the-counter medicines, the TRAMOL sustained relief painkiller and anti-inflammatory, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and biopharmaceuticals such as Tissuegene. The company also manages approximately 150 drugstores under the W-Store brand. In real estate and hospitality, Kolon develops properties and manages hotels, condominiums, and golf resorts. Its leisure operations include a shopping mall, a pet theme park, and themed toilets. Further diversifying its portfolio, Kolon operates Sweet Meal cafés, serving pastries, coffee, cheesecakes, and beverages. It supplies antimicrobial products, various PA, PBT, and POM base and compound resins, and retails both hardware and software. The company also delivers IT and business process outsourcing, alongside IT convergence services. Finally, Kolon is deeply involved in water-related environmental businesses, covering sewage and wastewater treatment, including the provision of materials, systems, equipment, and the operation of water treatment facilities.
