Seiko Epson Corporation, along with its various global subsidiaries, is an enterprise dedicated to the development, production, marketing, and support of a diverse range of products. The company's operations are segmented into three core areas: Printing Solutions, Visual Communications, and Manufacturing-related and Wearables. The Printing Solutions division offers an extensive suite of printing and imaging equipment. This includes inkjet printers for both home and office use, durable serial impact dot matrix printers, high-speed page printers, sophisticated color image scanners, and eco-friendly dry process office papermaking systems. Additionally, it supplies specialized commercial and industrial inkjet printers, precision inkjet printheads, printers for point-of-sale (POS) systems, label printers, and all necessary printer consumables. In its Visual Communications segment, Seiko Epson focuses on display technologies, providing 3LCD projectors designed for a wide array of applications in business, educational, residential, and event settings, as well as innovative smart glasses and related products. The Manufacturing-related and Wearables sector encompasses the creation of high-precision wristwatches, watch movements, and similar items. This segment also delivers advanced factory automation solutions, such as industrial robots, compact injection molding machines, and other sophisticated production systems. Furthermore, it manufactures essential electronic components like crystal units, crystal oscillators, and quartz sensors, which are crucial for consumer electronics, automotive applications, and industrial equipment. Complementing this, it produces CMOS LSIs and other semiconductor chips primarily for the consumer electronics and automotive industries. This division also supplies specialized metal powders, serving as raw materials for electronic component manufacturing and for high-value surface finishing across various industrial fields. Beyond these specialized areas, the company also markets personal computers. Seiko Epson maintains a significant international footprint, with active operations in countries such as Japan, the Philippines, the United States, Indonesia, and China, among other global locations. The company was established in 1942 and is headquartered in Suwa, Japan.
