Its extensive product portfolio spans critical infrastructure, including various types of generators (turbine, hydraulic, nuclear power plant equipment), advanced power electronics, and essential electrical components like motors, transformers, circuit breakers, and gas-insulated switchgear. Mitsubishi Electric also provides sophisticated control and security solutions for surveillance, robust ICT systems for power transmission and distribution, large-format display technology, and specialized electrical apparatus for locomotives and rolling stock. Furthermore, it supplies both wireless and wired communication systems, network camera solutions, and comprehensive building infrastructure such as elevators, escalators, and integrated security and management systems. For industrial applications, the company delivers a wide range of factory automation components including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), inverters, servomotors, human-machine interfaces (HMIs), hoists, and various switches and meters. It manufactures uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, industrial fans, computerized numerical controllers (CNCs), advanced electrical discharge and laser processing machinery, and highly efficient industrial robots. In the automotive sector, offerings encompass diverse electrical equipment, electric powertrain systems, sophisticated car electronics and mechatronics, and in-car multimedia solutions. Beyond this, Mitsubishi Electric contributes to defense and space initiatives with satellite communication and radar apparatus, actual satellites, antennas, and complex missile and fire control systems. It also provides broadcasting and information systems equipment, network security, and complete systems integration solutions. Its electronic device segment includes power modules, high-frequency devices, and various optical and LCD components. Its consumer and commercial offerings extend to a broad selection of climate control solutions like air conditioners, chillers, and refrigeration units, alongside air-to-water heat pump boilers, ventilators, and hot water systems. The domestic product line features IH cooking heaters, LED lighting, LCD televisions, refrigerators, electric fans, dehumidifiers, air purifiers, vacuum cleaners, rice cookers, and microwave ovens. The corporation also provides a suite of support services, including procurement, logistics, real estate management, advertising, and financial services. Established in 1921, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation is centrally managed from its headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
