Established in 1936 and headquartered in Yokohama, Japan, NHK Spring Co., Ltd. is a global provider of solutions for the automotive, data communications, and various industrial and lifestyle sectors, with operations spanning Japan, Asia, the United States, and Europe. The company is structured into four primary divisions: Automotive Suspension Springs; Automotive Seating; Precision Springs and Components; and Industrial Machinery and Equipment, and Others. The Automotive Suspension Springs division manufactures a comprehensive array of vehicle springs, including coil, leaf, and torsion springs, along with stabilizers, links, accumulators, and bonding bushes. This segment also supplies power train components and elements for braking and exhaust systems, such as valve springs, diverse disc, wire, and wave springs for gearboxes, injector springs, and various thin plate and wire spring products. Its Automotive Seating unit produces a range of seating solutions, from sports and suspension seats to power seats with fatigue reduction features, complemented by related accessories like polyurethane foams, fasteners, control cables, sunshades, tonneau covers, and trim parts. Additionally, this segment contributes to motorcycle chain tensioners and offers specialized components such as motor cores, spring grid arrays, ceramic springs, and metal substrates. The Precision Springs and Components division specializes in high-tolerance items, supplying components for hard disk drives (HDDs), including suspensions, top covers, disk clamps, base plates, and dummy heads. It also serves the data communications and semiconductor industries with products like test sockets, probe cards, precision wire springs, lock hinges, bonded metal parts, aluminum cooling plates, shower heads, various electrical products, and microcontactor solutions. Finally, the Industrial Machinery and Equipment, and Others segment delivers a broad spectrum of products for industrial and everyday applications. These encompass items for plant operations, spring mechanisms, chemical processes, multi-story parking systems, security, electronic components, railway infrastructure, maritime use, and sports. This division also provides comprehensive testing and design services.
