Within its chemicals and materials operations, Nippon Steel focuses on the production and commercialization of a diverse portfolio. Additionally, they develop carbon fiber and composite products, alongside materials crafted using advanced metal processing techniques. The system solutions department offers specialized expertise in computer systems engineering and consulting. Founded in 1950, the company was previously known as Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation before officially changing its name to Nippon Steel Corporation in April 2019.
