A key segment of their business is electronic materials, which comprises adhesives for welding and soldering, wiring solutions for printed circuit boards, electrodes, and contact materials. This segment also features paste materials (conductive, insulating, and for flexible substrates) used in touch panels, along with electromagnetic wave shields. Founded in 1938 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, the company was initially named Fujikura Kagaku Mfg. Co., Ltd., adopting its current name in December 1958.
