Mitsubishi Paper Mills Limited (MPML), headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, was founded in 1898 and initially known as Mitsubishi Paper Mills Company before adopting its current name in November 1917. Through its various subsidiaries, MPML engages globally in the manufacturing, processing, and distribution of paper, pulp, and light-sensitive materials. Its extensive market presence spans Japan, Europe, numerous Asian countries, North America, and other international territories. The company's operations are strategically divided into four key divisions: Paper and Pulp, Imaging Media, Speciality Materials, and Warehouse and Transportation. MPML offers a diverse portfolio of products, including various writing and printing papers, specialized inkjet papers, and a wide array of photographic materials. Their advanced imaging solutions feature photo-sensitive printing plates, direct platemaking systems, graphic arts film materials, and inkjet media. Beyond these, the company develops innovative items such as rewritable thermal recording materials, battery separators, air filters, electronic materials, silver nanoparticle inks, SF films, cutting-edge dye-sensitized solar cells, and a variety of functional papers. Additionally, MPML provides warehousing and logistical support, delivers thermal engineering and cooling solutions, and produces industrial goods like Mydome (a thick nonwoven fabric) and SaiVis (a screen film). The organization also maintains an active engineering division.
