The company's machinery operations cover the production and distribution of environmental equipment (including washers), cutting oil products, fire engines and related firefighting apparatus, agricultural machinery, and automotive components. For real estate, services include commercial property management, land leasing, and development initiatives. Furthermore, its life solutions portfolio encompasses agricultural products, foodstuffs, nursing care equipment, comprehensive building maintenance, landscaping services, and the operation of specialty stores for plants and pets. The company, which now has its headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, was established in 1873 as Katakura Silk Spinning Co., Ltd., adopting its present name, Katakura Industries Co.,Ltd., in November 1943.
