Profile

Founded in 1917 and headquartered in Noda, Japan, Kikkoman Corporation operates as a global enterprise, manufacturing and distributing a diverse range of food products throughout Japan, North America, and other international markets. Its extensive culinary portfolio includes various soy sauces, soy sauce-based soup broths, marinades, dipping sauces, and convenient seasoning mixes, alongside seasonings under the Del Monte brand. The company also supplies soy milk, Del Monte beverages, sweet cooking sake, and a selection of wines. Expanding its food offerings further, Kikkoman produces canned items such as fruits, corn, and tomato ketchup, in addition to health foods, and sources and distributes oriental food products. Beyond its core food business, Kikkoman diversifies into non-food segments, creating clinical diagnostic reagents, hygiene inspection agents, processing enzymes, and chemical products like hyaluronic acid. The corporation also provides real estate leasing, logistics, and back-office support services. Kikkoman caters to a broad customer base, serving residential, industrial, and food service sectors. The organization, initially named Kikkoman Shoyu Co., Ltd., officially became Kikkoman Corporation in 1980.
