Beyond its core manufacturing activities, China Rare Earth Holdings Limited is also involved in the trading of rare earth products and the production and sale of magnesium grains. Established in 1987, the company initially traded as Yixing Xinwei Holdings Limited before officially adopting its current name, China Rare Earth Holdings Limited, in May 2000. Its corporate headquarters are situated in Yixing, within the People's Republic of China.
