These include electronic devices, computers, electric motors, LCD and DVD displays, various magnetic materials, magnetic memory chips, fiber optic systems, superconductors, mobile phone batteries, and precision optical instruments. Furthermore, these materials are integral to numerous energy-efficient and environmentally friendly products. In addition to rare earths, the company produces refractory products, specifically high-temperature ceramic solutions. These are essential for heat-treatment facilities serving a broad spectrum of industries, such as petrochemicals, steel and non-ferrous metallurgy, glass manufacturing, construction materials, chemical fertilizers, and general ceramics. Beyond its core manufacturing activities, China Rare Earth Holdings Limited is also involved in the trading of rare earth products and the production and sale of magnesium grains. Established in 1987, the company initially traded as Yixing Xinwei Holdings Limited before officially adopting its current name, China Rare Earth Holdings Limited, in May 2000. Its corporate headquarters are situated in Yixing, within the People's Republic of China.
