Sino Oil and Gas Holdings Limited operates as an investment holding company with a primary focus on the exploration, development, and production of coalbed methane (CBM) across China. The firm's business activities also encompass the washing of raw coal and the subsequent sale of both raw and refined coal. Incorporated in 1999, the company changed its name from Genesis Energy Holdings Limited to Sino Oil and Gas Holdings Limited in July 2010. Its corporate headquarters are situated in Sai Wan, Hong Kong.
