Based in Bangkok, Thailand, Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCO) and its subsidiaries are primarily engaged in the generation and sale of electricity. They supply power to both governmental bodies and industrial users. While predominantly active in Thailand, their international reach extends to the Philippines, Australia, South Korea, Taiwan, the United States, Laos, and Indonesia. The company's activities are structured into two core segments: Electricity Generation and Other Businesses. EGCO utilizes a comprehensive array of energy sources to produce electricity, including natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), coal, biomass, hydroelectric, solar, wind, geothermal, and fuel cell technologies. By the close of 2021, the company oversaw 30 power facilities globally, boasting a total equity generating capacity of 5,959.27 MW. This capacity included 5,646.19 MW from currently operational plants and an additional 313.08 MW from projects actively under development.
