Softing AG, established in 1979 and headquartered in Haar, Germany, is a global developer of software, hardware, and system solutions. The company operates across three main segments: Industrial, Automotive, and IT Networks. In the Industrial segment, Softing supplies communication products and solutions to the manufacturing and process industries. This includes products and services that enable integrated communication functions within automation systems and devices, supporting protocols such as PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, Powerlink, Modbus, CAN, CANopen, DeviceNet, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, and HART. Offerings span interface cards, integration modules, chip solutions, and communication software for bus link implementation, as well as gateways for fieldbus connectivity and group-wide planning and administration systems. Softing also provides network configuration tools, toolkits for integrating configuration functions, and tools and devices for signal and protocol analysis of industrial communication networks. Its software portfolio features OPC servers, OPC middleware, and development tools. Additionally, the company develops and imports geared and other motors for various applications. For the Automotive sector, Softing delivers vehicle adapters and data bus interfaces, encompassing diverse PC connections, programming interfaces, and custom adaptations. It provides on-site consulting, engineering services, and specialized solutions for development, testing, production, and service stages. The company's automotive solutions include diagnostic tools, bespoke and proprietary analytic tools, test automation software interfaces, editing and run-time systems, and customized test stations. It also offers solutions for the flash programming of control units and devices for simulating electronic control units and rest bus systems. Furthermore, Softing undertakes customer-specific software and hardware developments for data communication, diagnostic, and test systems, alongside providing on-site customer support and solutions for measurement technology and automation systems. Finally, within the IT Networks segment, Softing offers services for the testing, qualification, and certification of cabling infrastructure.
