Highlight Communications AG serves as a global strategic and financial holding entity. The company's operations are divided into three primary segments: Film, Sports-and Event-Marketing, and Sports. Within its Film division, Highlight Communications is engaged in film production, acquiring rights, distribution, home entertainment, and the trading and TV exploitation of licenses. The segment also handles the theatrical, DVD/Blu-ray, and television distribution of movies, and capitalizes on its video rights for both proprietary and licensed films. The Sports-and Event-Marketing segment is responsible for marketing major international sporting competitions, notably including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Super Cup. Finally, the Sports segment focuses on selling advertising and sponsorship opportunities across free-to-air television and digital platforms. Established in 1983, the company maintains its headquarters in Pratteln, Switzerland.
