Befesa S.A. delivers specialized environmental recycling services primarily to the steel and aluminum industries across Europe, Asia, and North America. The company operates through two core business segments. Its Steel Dust Recycling division focuses on the collection and processing of steel dust and various other steel residues generated during the production of crude, stainless, and galvanized steel. The Aluminium Salt Slags Recycling segment is dedicated to the reclamation of salt slags and spent pot linings, which are hazardous byproducts from primary aluminum producers. This process yields marketable products such as salt, aluminum concentrate, and aluminum oxides. Furthermore, this segment actively collects and recycles diverse forms of aluminum scrap, including dross, shavings, and cuttings, subsequently manufacturing secondary aluminum alloys for the automotive and construction sectors. Beyond these primary activities, Befesa S.A. also provides logistics support, offers waelz oxide treatment, undertakes project and technology development, and functions as a marketing enterprise. Founded in 1987, Befesa S.A. maintains its headquarters in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg.
