Profile

PTT Public Company Limited, a diversified energy and petrochemical conglomerate, was established in 1978 and is headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand. Its extensive operations span not only Thailand but also other Asian countries, Europe, the United States, and various international markets. The company organizes its broad activities across three main divisions: the Upstream Petroleum and Natural Gas Business Group, the Downstream Petroleum Business Group, and the New Business and Infrastructure Group. In its upstream segment, PTT is deeply involved in the exploration and extraction of both petroleum and coal, as well as the acquisition, pipeline transmission, distribution, and processing of natural gas. The downstream activities encompass the marketing and distribution of refined petroleum products and lubricants, supported by a comprehensive system for sourcing, storage, and logistics, including a wide network of retail service stations. Furthermore, PTT engages in the import and export of petroleum, petrochemicals, and related commodities globally. Beyond traditional hydrocarbons, PTT plays a significant role in the power and utilities sector, producing and supplying electricity, steam, and industrial water. It also invests in liquefied natural gas (LNG) ventures, develops power generation projects, and provides chilled water services. The company's diverse portfolio extends to the development, marketing, and distribution of various polymer products, real estate development, and the operation of vocational training institutions. PTT also manufactures and distributes biochemical products, paraxylene, industrial coatings, and additives, alongside managing logistics for polyethylene, which includes transportation, warehousing, and packaging services. Additionally, PTT offers a comprehensive suite of specialized services, covering project and human resource management, petroleum-related technology support, technical and management consulting for electricity businesses, oversight of petrol stations and convenience stores, factory maintenance and engineering, oil and gas field services, safety and environmental solutions, general business services, and the storage and handling of liquid chemicals.
