Bapcor Limited, founded in 1971 in Melbourne, Australia, and previously known as Burson Group Limited until its rebranding in July 2016, is a prominent supplier of automotive components, accessories, equipment, and associated services. The company's operations extend across Australia, New Zealand, and Thailand, and are organized into four distinct divisions. The Bapcor Trade segment focuses on providing aftermarket vehicle parts and consumables to professional workshops for the maintenance and repair of both passenger and commercial vehicles. This division also supplies specialized automotive workshop equipment, such as hoists and diagnostic scanners, along with their servicing. Additionally, it offers automotive accessories and upkeep products to do-it-yourself vehicle owners, operating 210 stores as of June 30, 2022. Bapcor Specialist Wholesale is dedicated to the wholesale distribution of a diverse range of aftermarket automotive parts, including braking systems, bearings, electrical components, suspension units, 4x4 parts, cooling systems, diesel engine components, and engine management systems for both light and heavy commercial fleets. The Bapcor Retail division manages a network of 404 company-owned and franchised retail establishments. This includes 136 Autobarn stores, 94 Autopro outlets, a combined 108 Midas and ABS service centers, and 66 Opposite Lock locations. Lastly, the Bapcor NZ segment conducts wholesale operations for various products such as batteries, steering and suspension components, auto-electrical and precision tools, and garage equipment, alongside managing diesel distribution. This segment also delivers automotive parts and accessories to service workshops, and provides specialized truck and trailer components via its "Truck and Trailer Parts" brand. Its extensive footprint comprises 76 stores across 88 different sites, complemented by 130 dedicated Battery Town and Shock Shop service points.
