Based in Schiphol, the Netherlands, SBM Offshore N.V. is a global provider of floating production systems for the offshore energy industry. The company, which traces its origins back to 1862, operates through two main business lines: Lease and Operate, and Turnkey solutions. SBM Offshore offers end-to-end services, covering the design, delivery, deployment, management, leasing, and life extension of a diverse range of offshore assets. These include Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels, semi-submersibles, tension leg platforms, and LNG FPSOs. They also specialize in turret mooring systems, LNG regasification to power vessels, and pioneering floating offshore wind solutions, alongside developing brownfield and offshore loading terminals. Additionally, the company provides catenary anchor leg mooring (CALM) and single point mooring (SPM) terminals. Its expertise extends to offering comprehensive solutions for floating unit mooring, flexible flowline, and subsea structure installation. As of December 31, 2021, SBM Offshore managed an operational fleet consisting of 14 FPSO units and one semi-submersible. The company was formerly known as IHC Caland before officially rebranding as SBM Offshore N.V. in 2005.
