Its business activities are structured into three main divisions: In-Building Wireless (IBW), Intelligent Site Management (ISM), and Communications Network Solutions (CNS). The IBW division focuses on delivering solutions to improve wireless reception within buildings. Its product range includes distributed antenna systems (DAS) for interior spaces, along with corresponding conditioners, digital signal boosters, various types of Class A and B repeaters, Class A/B fiber DAS setups, and backup battery units. This segment also supplies essential system parts and antennas, serving the needs of cellular communication and emergency services markets. The ISM division offers a collection of remote devices that enable machine-to-machine (M2M) communication. These tools allow network operators to remotely observe, manage, and regulate crucial site infrastructure and ancillary systems. Additionally, this segment provides implementation and support services for its offerings. The CNS division supplies a wide array of network infrastructure products suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. Its inventory features integrated enclosures, power distribution components, connectivity hardware for copper and fiber optic networks, fiber access technology, and T1 network interface units. Founded in 1980, Westell Technologies, Inc. is headquartered in Aurora, Illinois.
