In the construction sector, AB Volvo offers a comprehensive suite of machinery, including excavators, articulated and rigid haulers, wheel loaders, road construction machines, pavers, and compactors, predominantly under the Volvo and SDLG brands. Moreover, its Volvo Penta division specializes in developing and supplying engines and complete power solutions for both leisure and commercial marine applications, as well as for industrial, off-road, and power generation purposes. Beyond manufacturing, the company provides a full spectrum of supporting services, encompassing financing, insurance, rental options, spare parts, repairs, preventative maintenance programs, service agreements, and general assistance. These products and services are made available to customers through an expansive network of dealerships and workshops. AB Volvo is also engaged in key strategic alliances, including a collaboration with Isuzu Motors for commercial vehicles, a partnership with Samsung SDI Co. to develop advanced battery packs for its trucks, and an agreement with NVIDIA and Aurora aimed at pioneering autonomous truck technologies. The company was founded in 1915 and is headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden.
