Tantalus Systems Holding Inc., headquartered in Burnaby, Canada, is a prominent smart grid technology provider serving utilities across North America and the Caribbean Basin. The company delivers an extensive portfolio of solutions designed to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and intelligence of electrical distribution grids. Its core offerings include TRUEdge Communication Modules, a Linux-based platform seamlessly integrating with various networked devices like meters, sensors, and switches, facilitating secure, real-time bidirectional data exchange across the utility's infrastructure. Complementing this are Tantalus Utility Network (TUNet) Infrastructure Devices, which collect near real-time operational data and control endpoints to significantly improve grid stability and performance. Tantalus also provides the TRUSense Fiber Gateway for fiber-to-the-home connectivity. On the software front, Tantalus offers TCC, a robust system for accumulating and processing near real-time data transmitted from the TUNet communications network. The TUNet Insight digital user interface serves as a comprehensive visualization tool, empowering utilities to monitor and manage their TUNet system. This interface supports a suite of critical utility applications, including advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), load management, distributed energy resource (DER) integration, grid optimization, and distribution automation. Further enhancing its software capabilities, C.IQ is a platform ensuring interoperability across a wide array of devices, while TRULight Intelligence provides advanced lighting control solutions. Beyond its product suite, Tantalus provides a full spectrum of professional services. These encompass program and project planning, radio frequency propagation and network systems design, system optimization, deployment assistance, third-party software and systems integration, and project management. The company also offers field maintenance, storm restoration, consulting, and training. Additionally, Tantalus delivers comprehensive project management services, including turnkey installations of meters and network infrastructure through strategic partnerships, along with managed services for monitoring TCC and network communications, issuing alerts, and planning disaster recovery. Dedicated technical support services round out their offerings.
