Schaeffler AG, along with its worldwide affiliates, specializes in the development, manufacturing, and sale of components and integrated systems for various industrial applications throughout Europe, the Americas, China, and the Asia Pacific region. The Automotive Technologies division is dedicated to providing sophisticated mechanical, mechatronic, and electronic solutions for the electrification of powertrains in both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Its offerings include electric motors, axle transmissions, power electronics, hybrid modules, diverse actuators (electromechanical and hydraulic), and thermal management systems. Additionally, this segment supplies traditional powertrain components like torque converters, hybrid dampers, clutches, and advanced valve train mechanisms, including variable valve train systems, valve-lash adjustment elements, and timing drives. It further produces a range of rolling bearings (such as wheel, ball, and needle roller bearings) and innovative mechanical and mechatronic systems for steering and chassis applications, notably its Space Drive steer-by-wire technology. The Automotive Aftermarket division offers essential components and comprehensive repair solutions for light commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, and off-road sectors, branded under LuK, INA, and FAG, while also providing services for repair shops through its REPXPERT brand. Schaeffler's Industrial division innovates and produces both rotary and linear bearing solutions, drive technology components and systems, and value-added services, such as sensor-based condition monitoring. This division serves a broad spectrum of industries, including wind power, raw materials, aerospace, rail, off-highway vehicles, two-wheelers, power transmission, and industrial automation. Established in 1946 with its headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany, the company rebranded as Schaeffler AG in October 2014, having previously been known as INA Beteiligungsgesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung.
