Profile

RiceBran Technologies, along with its associated companies, functions as a specialized purveyor of ingredients. Its core business revolves around the development, processing, and distribution of premium, wholesome, and nutrient-rich products, sourced primarily from rice and other select small grains. The company adeptly transforms raw rice bran into stabilized rice bran (SRB) and subsequently into a suite of high-value derivative products. These include RiBalance, a comprehensive nutritional offering created by refining SRB; RiSolubles, a carbohydrate and lipid-dense fraction extracted from RiBalance; RiFiber, an insoluble protein and fiber-rich byproduct of RiBalance; and the ProRyza range, encompassing various protein or protein/fiber formulations. These SRB and derivative products are highly nutritious and advantageous, packed with a beneficial blend of oils, proteins, carbohydrates, essential vitamins, minerals, fibers, and antioxidants, significantly boosting the nutritional profile of end-consumer goods. In addition to human food applications, the company's SRB products are also supplied as essential feed components within the animal nutrition sector. RiceBran Technologies serves a diverse clientele, including manufacturers in both the food and animal nutrition industries, as well as wholesalers and retailers, operating across both domestic (United States) and international markets. Established in 2000 and based in Tomball, Texas, the enterprise initially operated as NutraCea before rebranding as RiceBran Technologies in October 2012.
