Mattr Corp. is a global material science firm that provides solutions for the infrastructure, energy, and transportation sectors. The company operates through three main divisions: Composite Systems, Automotive and Industrial, and Pipeline and Pipe Services. The Composite Systems segment develops flexible composite materials for oil and gas gathering and diverse applications, as well as fiberglass-reinforced plastic underground storage tanks for retail fuel, water, wastewater, and oil and gas markets. The Automotive and Industrial division manufactures a variety of heat-shrinkable products, including thin, medium, and heavy-walled tubing, sleeves, molded items, accessories, and associated equipment. It also supplies low-voltage wires and cables for control, instrumentation, thermocouple, power, and other industrial uses. The Pipeline and Pipe Services unit offers specialized ultrasonic and radiographic inspection for pipeline girth welds to both pipeline operators and construction contractors. Originally established as Shaw Industries Ltd. in Toronto, Canada, in 1930, the company was rebranded as Shawcor Ltd. in 2001 before adopting its current identity as Mattr Corp.
