Profile
Harel Insurance Investments & Financial Services Ltd, an Israeli-based enterprise, delivers a comprehensive suite of insurance and financial solutions across Israel, the United States, and Western Europe. The company's operations are strategically organized into five distinct divisions: Life Assurance and Long-Term Savings, Health Insurance, Non-life Insurance, International Insurance Companies, and Capital Market and Financial Services. Within its Life Assurance and Long-Term Savings segment, Harel provides various life insurance policies designed to cover eventualities such as death, disability, work-related disability, and critical illnesses. This segment also encompasses long-term savings instruments and the management of pension and provident funds. The Health Insurance division furnishes coverage for medical eventualities, including general illness and hospitalization, personal accidents, and specialized dental care spanning conservative, periodontal, orthodontic, and oral rehabilitation treatments. Additionally, it offers distinct policies for travel, foreign workers, and tourists. Harel's Non-life insurance offerings are extensive, encompassing a broad spectrum of property and casualty policies. These include motor, homeowners, fire, theft, terrorism, and various 'in transit' coverages (cash and goods). Specialized business insurance types are also provided, such as electronic equipment, agricultural, mechanical engineering equipment, mechanical failure, homebuyers, and coverage for building work and contractor projects. Furthermore, a wide array of liability insurance is available, ranging from professional indemnity (for investment consultants, portfolio managers, attorneys, engineers, architects, and accountants) and directors' and officers' liability, to product defects, cyber, third-party, employers', and credit insurance for mortgages, as well as policies for clinical trials. The Capital Market and Financial Services segment focuses on investment management, overseeing mutual funds and individual investment portfolios. It also provides certificates of deposit and manages private equity funds. Established in 1933, the company maintains its headquarters in Ramat Gan, Israel.
