Profile

Chesswood Group Limited (CGL) is a financial services enterprise with a primary focus on the specialty finance sector. The company extends essential funding for commercial equipment to small and medium-sized businesses across North America. In the United States, CGL facilitates smaller-scale equipment financing transactions through an extensive network of approximately 600 equipment finance broker firms and direct equipment vendors. Similarly, in Canada, it provides commercial equipment financing to SMBs, leveraging a network of around 60 equipment finance brokers. Beyond its core business lending, Chesswood also offers consumer financing solutions, notably for home improvements and various other personal needs. Established in 1982, the company was initially known as Chesswood Income Fund until it officially rebranded as Chesswood Group Limited in January 2011. Its corporate headquarters are located in Toronto, Canada.
