Belo Sun Mining Corp. is a gold exploration and development firm operating in Brazil, primarily through its subsidiaries. Its principal asset is the wholly-owned Volta Grande Gold project. Situated in the northern region of Brazil's Pará State, this substantial 175,498-hectare property comprises four pending mining concession applications, eleven exploration permits, and 63 submitted requests for exploration permit extensions. Known previously as Verena Minerals Corporation, the company rebranded as Belo Sun Mining Corp. in July 2010. Established in 1996, its corporate headquarters are located in Toronto, Canada.
