The company is organized into key segments: Networks, Waste Management, Energy, Market, and Other Services. Iren plays a vital role in energy, producing and distributing electricity primarily from hydroelectric, thermoelectric, cogeneration, and other renewable sources, alongside its natural gas distribution services. Its power generation assets include 23 hydroelectric plants, 7 thermoelectric cogeneration systems, 1 thermoelectric plant, and 95 photovoltaic installations totaling 18 MW. For distribution, Iren delivers electricity to approximately 725,000 users through a 7,849-kilometer network of medium and low-voltage lines. It also provides natural gas to around 741,000 customers via an 8,115-kilometer grid of high, medium, and low-pressure pipes. Beyond energy, the company manages an integrated water cycle, which includes 20,088 kilometers of pipeline networks serving 2.8 million residents, 11,291 kilometers of sewerage networks, and various water treatment plants. Additionally, Iren offers a suite of diverse services such as the provision and maintenance of street and traffic lighting, heating systems, and specialized electrical systems. Its activities further extend to waste collection and disposal, snow clearing, laboratory analysis, and telecommunications.
