Its core operations encompass energy, water, and waste management. In the energy sector, Hera handles the distribution and sale of methane and natural gas, provides district heating, and is actively involved in the generation, distribution, and retailing of electricity. For water services, the company manages the complete cycle, including the collection and treatment of drinking water for both residential and industrial supply, as well as sewerage and wastewater treatment. Hera oversees water utilities in 227 municipalities, serving an estimated 3.6 million inhabitants through an extensive water network spanning 35,080 kilometers. Its environmental services include street sweeping, waste collection, transportation, processing for recovery, and final disposal.
