Officine Meccaniche S.p.A., a company established in 1914 and based in Buttrio, Italy, stands as a leading global entity specializing in the engineering, construction, and provision of advanced facilities for the iron and steel sector. Its operational footprint extends across numerous international markets, encompassing Europe, Russia, the Middle East, the Americas, and Southeast Asia. The firm's business activities are categorized into two core segments: Plant Making and Steel Making. Under its Plant Making division, Danieli offers a comprehensive suite of solutions that cover the entire steel production value chain. The company also builds state-of-the-art steelworks for the generation of liquid steel, alongside continuous casting systems capable of producing blooms, billets, slabs, and thin slabs. Furthermore, Danieli engineers and supplies a diverse range of rolling mills for manufacturing long products and seamless tubes, as well as production lines for welded tubes and both hot and cold rolled flat products. Its offerings extend to specialized process lines for flat materials, coupled with equipment for precise dimensional inspection, non-destructive quality assurance, and conditioning processes. The Plant Making segment also encompasses machinery for secondary processing, including peeling, straightening, two-roll reeling, and drawing apparatus. Additionally, it provides forging presses, manipulators, and complete forging facilities, extrusion presses for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, systems for longitudinal and transversal cutting, sophisticated plant automation solutions, and essential cranes and lifting equipment. The Steel Making segment focuses on the manufacturing and distribution of high-quality steel products. This includes a variety of specialized steels, presented as ingots, blooms, billets, and both forged and rolled forms. Danieli also produces structural steels, such as high-carbon steel, alongside case-hardened, hardened and tempered, and surface-hardened steel types, all tailored for diverse engineering applications.
