Companhia de Gás de São Paulo - COMGÁS, a utility headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil, specializes in the distribution of piped natural gas throughout the state of São Paulo. Founded in 1872 as Companhia Municipal de Gás (Comgás), it adopted its present name in 1974. The company utilizes an extensive infrastructure of approximately 20,000 kilometers of pipelines to deliver natural gas to diverse client sectors, including industrial, residential, commercial, automotive, and power generation (thermogeneration and cogeneration). Its exclusive concession area spans 180 municipalities across São Paulo and the Greater São Paulo region. As of December 31, 2021, COMGÁS catered to an approximate base of 2.23 million customers. It operates as a subsidiary of Compass Gas e Energia S.A.
