Profile
Touax SCA is a global enterprise dedicated to the operational leasing, sale, and management of standardized mobile equipment. The company operates through three distinct segments: Freight Railcars, River Barges, and Shipping Containers. Its railcar offerings encompass diverse types such as intermodal, car-carrier, coil-carrying, sliding wall, hopper, and powder wagons. Within its River Barges division, Touax provides both operational and financial leasing solutions, fleet administration services, sale-and-lease-back programs, and specialized technical expertise in river transport. Furthermore, the company is involved in the production and distribution of modular constructions, industrialized buildings, and prefabricated components. As of December 31, 2021, Touax managed an extensive fleet, including 393,064 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) containers, 99 river barges, and approximately 12,110 freight railcars. Founded in 1853, Touax SCA's corporate headquarters are located in La Défense, France.
