Its operations are segmented into four main divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management, and the Investment Bank. The Global Wealth Management unit specializes in providing customized investment and lending solutions to ultra-high net worth and high net worth clients, encompassing estate planning, philanthropy, family advisory, and various financing options like mortgages and securities-based loans. The Personal & Corporate Banking division serves individuals with essential banking products – such as deposits, cards, and digital platforms – alongside lending, investment, and retirement services, while also supplying corporations and institutions with comprehensive solutions, including capital market access, credit facilities, trade finance, global custody, and transaction banking. The Asset Management segment offers a broad spectrum of investment products, spanning equities, fixed income, hedge funds, real estate, private markets, and specialized strategies like alternative beta and multi-asset solutions, complemented by advisory and fiduciary services. Finally, the Investment Bank division provides strategic business advice, assists with capital raising, facilitates securities trading and financing, supports risk and liquidity management, and delivers distinct financial market insights to its clientele. Founded in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1862, the firm adopted its current name, UBS Group AG, in December 2014, having previously operated as UBS AG.
