Spire Inc

Established in 1857 and headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, Spire Inc. is an energy company primarily focused on the natural gas sector within the United States. Its core business involves the acquisition, distribution, and direct sale of natural gas to a wide array of customers, including residential households, commercial entities, industrial facilities, and other end-users. The company segments its extensive operations into two key areas: Gas Utility and Gas Marketing. In addition to its primary gas supply functions, Spire also participates in natural gas marketing, facilitates propane transport through its pipeline network, performs natural gas compression, offers risk management solutions, and provides physical natural gas storage capabilities. The corporation adopted its current name, Spire Inc., in April 2016, having previously operated as The Laclede Group, Inc.
