Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) functions as the bank holding company for Citizens Bank, National Association. It delivers a comprehensive suite of retail and commercial banking services and products throughout the United States. CFG's operations are divided into two main segments: Consumer Banking and Commercial Banking. The Consumer Banking division provides a wide array of financial offerings, including various deposit products, home mortgage and equity loans, credit cards, business financing, wealth management, and investment advisory services. It also specializes in lending for auto purchases, education, and point-of-sale transactions, alongside offering modern digital deposit solutions. Customers can access these services through telephone support centers, as well as robust online and mobile platforms. Conversely, the Commercial Banking segment delivers sophisticated financial products and strategic solutions. These include a range of lending and leasing options, advanced deposit and treasury management services, foreign exchange, and risk management tools for interest rates and commodities. Furthermore, this segment facilitates syndicated loans, corporate finance initiatives, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory, and capital market services, spanning both debt and equity. Its client base is diverse, serving sectors such as government entities, non-profits, healthcare, technology firms, professional services, energy (oil and gas), asset finance, franchise finance, asset-based lending, commercial real estate, private equity firms, and sponsor finance clients. Citizens Financial Group maintains a substantial physical presence, operating approximately 1,200 branches across 14 states and the District of Columbia. This is complemented by 114 non-branch retail and commercial offices situated in various national markets, along with a network of around 3,300 automated teller machines (ATMs). Historically, the company was known as RBS Citizens Financial Group, Inc. before adopting its current name in April 2014. Established in 1828, Citizens Financial Group, Inc. is headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island.
