Profile

Cameco Corporation is a leading entity in the uranium sector, focusing on its production and distribution. The company operates primarily through two distinct divisions: Uranium and Fuel Services. The Uranium division covers the entire process from exploring and discovering new deposits to the mining and milling of uranium ore, alongside the procurement and sale of uranium concentrate. Its Fuel Services segment, on the other hand, is dedicated to the subsequent steps of the nuclear fuel cycle, including the refining, conversion, and fabrication of uranium concentrate, as well as the provision and acquisition of conversion services. This segment also manufactures specialized fuel bundles and reactor components for CANDU reactors. Cameco provides its uranium offerings and fuel cycle services to nuclear power utilities across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Founded in 1987, the corporation maintains its headquarters in Saskatoon, Canada.
