TYK Corporation is a global specialist in the research, production, and sale of refractory bricks, primarily serving the steel manufacturing industry. Expanding beyond this core business, the company also provides advanced fine ceramics, such as metal matrix composites, as well as aesthetic porcelain products and construction materials. Its extensive array of refractory solutions is tailored for numerous industrial applications, including converters, secondary refining, gas blowing, flow control systems, pig iron production, continuous casting, cement and lime kilns, incineration, and general industrial furnaces, complemented by refractory engineering services. Furthermore, TYK manufactures specific components like bricks for pig iron ladles, precast blocks, lance pipes, and tuyere sleeves for blast furnaces, along with associated machinery and equipment. The advanced materials division also develops abrasion-resistant compounds, composite materials, ceramic sensors, carbon sheets, brake materials, and ceramic filters. Additionally, TYK offers analytical testing and engine test bench services. Established in 1947, TYK Corporation is based in Minato, Japan.
